Starcraft runs, but displays graphical glitches.
Must be the weird color count screen.

    BTW: 120 gig model

Civ four works with all graphics turned down. its slightly slow and i had to edit the .ini file in my documents/ my gaves / civ four to read fullscreen 0.

this allowed it to start in windowed mode.

i only have 512 MB of ram so might be faster with more ram..

To my mind the best games to try are those published around 5-10 years ago. These are a lot less demanding in terms of computer power and memory than contemporary games. Thought about installing Medieval 2 Total War but saw that it needs 11GB of disk space which is more than the entire SSD!

So far tried successfully Alpha Centauri, Sim City 4 and Deus Ex. All run fine (the first two at 800x600, DX at 1024x600).

    AA1 A150L(120GB HDD + 1GB RAM) + Win XP SP3

Warcarft 3 TFT: Runs great as already said
    Dungeon Keeper 2: see above
Worms World Party: A+ (who would have thought that)
but Counter-Strike 1.6 fails... Playing in 800x600 with 32bit and in a firefight(with 5 bots) I get about 18fps, which is not much fun :( How do you guys do that? get 70fps? in the menu? :D
Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit: Complete fail, can't install; says I need DVD drive ( might be solvable with daemontools/alcohol but this machine is slow enough already :D)

Grid Wars 2 - have to edit the config file to set for the correct resolution (1024x600) to be able to run it. but it runs perfectly.
Jets 'n Guns - Runs out of box.
CS 1.6 - constantly getting 15fps in actions even with the lowest texture setting (gl_max_size 16). with -dev option on gets about 33 FPS looking at a wall. playable but I will pass.
TF2 - crash after loading map.

Red Alert 2 Works, and you even modify the ini file to support the wierd Aspire one resolution!

Fix for TF2: Enter this in console mat_max_worldmesh_vertices 1024. Will give a huge performance boost

Though I have no Idea how to get the game starting...

Tried out Guild Wars at 1024x600.
Have to adjust the graphics for `Fastest` performance. You *can* turn up some options, but this results in unacceptable slow-down during action sequences with lots of mobs/spells/effects/etc.
Overall it's playable/enjoyable if you can live with the lower-quality graphics.

Interesting, you can either use Daemon tool or map a network drive on another computer. NFS3 shouldn't have any problem running on the A150, I have Hot Pursuit 2 installed and it runs smoothly at max settings. It even runs Underground 2 okay, and Most Wanted is barely playable at lowest settings.

Trackmania Nations Forever runs on 1.5GB, but not too well - <20 fps. Driveable, but only just. On lowest settings.

well i tried a few games today

Trackmania united - playable, but not greatly probly get like 15 fps or so which isnt to fun in racing.

Starwars jedi academy - during normal gameplay, does great. randomly like when there are force powers or something it will lag up.

Medieval Total War : i can play the quick battles but if i try to play a normal campaign it will crash when loading the map (seems to be an issues this game has with some systems)

Medieval 2 total war: i couldn't get it to load up

    Shogun total war: runs perfect

Roller coaster tycoon 2 : runs great

    starcraft : perfect

counterstrike : i put it on lowest settings and software mode (instead of direct x or opengl) and it runs pretty decent

counterstrike source: couldn't get it to load ( i might have messed up, i didn't try to hard on this one)

command and conquer generals: runs decently on low settings, definitely playable.

Lineage 2 : not really playable, was probly getting like 5 fps
