Gateway LT2016u - D250 Clone, BIOS cmptbl?

Recently bought a GatewayLT2016u. From all Iv'e ready it's basically a D250 with a different skin. Anyone know if I can use the D250 BIOS on this laptop? I noticed the MOBO info indicates an Acer MOBO, but the name is LT20, indicating the LT20 series brand. I don't know if Gateway did anything funky to keep this from working. Regards, Mike
