Im working on a Aspire one netbook and its blue screening windows. Ive tried F disk, Ive tried to rebuild the registry and the last thing I can try is a windows repair. Problem is when I run the windows disc it doesn't recognize the windows install. All it says where it should say XP pro is Partition 2 <Acer> [NTFS]. I really don't want to have to do a fresh reinstall on this thing.

Also how do I get into that utilities partition?

Pretty sure what you need to do is boot the Win XP CD, enter the Recovery Console, and run the command "BOOTCFG /REBUILD" minus the " marks. That should redetect your XP installation and re-add it to the selections.
