gimp brushes

    how do you install new gimp brushes?

    thanks for the link. sounds easy enough.
    but how do I find the folder to put the gimp brushes?
    acer linpus doesn't have "my computer" icon. so don't know how to find the gimp folder.

    sorry for being such an idiot, but how exactly do I find the folder?
    (this acer version of linux is relay strange, but I guess it's because noobs like me should have a harder time to ruin the computer this way).

    You put additional brushes, scripts, etc into

    /home/user/.gimp-2.4

    there is a sub folder for each catagory

    note it is a hidden folder - (starts with a dot) so enable hidden folders in the file manager - look in the view menu.
