I downloaded the linux file GoogleEarthLinux.bin today from the Google Earth site and ran it for installation of Google Earth on my AAO. I got an icon on my desktop. I double clicked it, however, it did not run: Then I ran the relevant command line in terminal and got this: The screen showed the start up icon, shortly the first tip and started to build up the frame for the earth. Then it stopped and returned to the desktop. On the terminal I got the following:
[user@localhost ~]$ ./googleearth Warning: Unable to create prefs directory '/home/user/.googleearth'. File exists. do_wait: drmWaitVBlank returned -1, IRQs don't seem to be working correctly. Try running with LIBGL_THROTTLE_REFRESH and LIBL_SYNC_REFRESH unset. Mesa 7.0.2 implementation error: i915_program_error: Can't (yet) swizzle TEX arguments Please report at bugzilla.freedesktop.org DRM_I830_CMDBUFFER: -22 [user@localhost ~]$
Any suggestion what it can be? I will look to the bugzilla.freedesktop but my first try went nowwhere since the line "DRM_I830_CMDBUFFER: -22" seems not to be a bug description. But that is another action field. Winfried If this is posted in the wrong forum, feel free to move it tot the correct on.
