GRAMPS Genealogy app.

I just downloaded a couple of apps, Quake and Gramps.

Both downloaded and installed apparently ok.

Quake runs ok but when I click on Gramps I get the circular loading cursor for a couple of seconds then nothing ?

Anyone else had trouble getting the current version of Gramps to run ??

 

Sounds like it's erroring out.

Run it from a terminal and you'll see what the problem is. Then you can possibly correct it.

Unfortunately worse has happened, when I was trying out the Google Maps.
I got the dreaded "Failured to Initialize HAL" error message, and looks like I will have to run a recovery :x

So when I have got it up and running and downloaded all the updates...........etc, then I'll try your suggestion.
