Great all around PC/Windows Laptop

    I'm looking for a good laptop that fits the following criteria:

    1) PC/Windows
    2) Preferably around or under $1500.
    2) Versatile/good for school AND as a personal/home computer.
    3) Good battery life.
    4) Reliable manufacturer
    5) Can play games but I don't want a loud and annoying sounding gaming laptop
    6) Good wireless connectivity
    7) CD Drive would nice in case I need to install things.

    I'd like some recommendations but I'm also open to suggestions/advice.
