Grey Screen

    My Acer 5630 is just three months old ut it has an increasing tendency to show a blank screen with grey colour and sometimes lines running down. This goes on like forever till I switch off and try again. This problem also comes when the laptop is idle. I have noticed that if it is connected onto a projector, while the laptop screen is blank, the projector can still show images. What could be the problem and can it be solved?
