Does anyone know how to get Gridwars2 working in Linpus?
On Ubuntu it would just run from the folder once unzipped on Linpus this doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

If anyone wants to attempt to get this amazing game working it can be downloaded from
    http://gridwars.marune.de/
So far i have altered the config.txt so that it reads
    Code:
    [Screen Width]
    1024
    [Screen Height]
    600
Which i believe is the native aa1 resolution. This resulted in the program starting, the screen going black then crashing.
The game should work as it works on the Eee pc fine.

I've been trying to get this to work on ubuntu ibex, but no dice...
When i run it in console i get : appstub.linux signal handler 11

Changed the resolution, no difference. :|

simple but effective way to get the game to work is run the windows version tru wine :p

press Alt+F2 and then type 'terminal' and press enter
    Code:
    sudo yum install wine
    Code:
    winecfg
and go to audio so that wine selects the ALSA driver.

then download the windows version of the game and unpack it.

then open a terminal in the newly created directory. (in thunar, the filemanager, click on 'File' and then 'Terminal' you can start the game with:
    Code:
    wine gridwars.exe

    enjoy my friends:p

Did the wine thing but it's super slow... even the menu takes ages. Might have to check the soundsettings for wine but i dont have much hope this'll be playable

I didn't have much time yesterday but i checked the soundsettings and it's on alsa like it schould be.
I'll check the wine version when i get back but i think is installed it from the ubuntu repo's so it should be pretty recent right? :?

I'm starting to think there's something wrong with my video drivers. I tried open gl support on some emu's i was running and it only slows them down. But i figured gridwars wouldn't run at all without proper 3d support.
