gstreamer mp3 plugin

    can someone tell me how to install the above plugins, i have just installed netbook remix 9.10 and rytham jukebox requires a lpugin to play my mp3 files, any help would be appreciated.

    have a look on http://www.medibuntu.org, add the medibuntu repository (follow the site), then sudo apt-get install gstreamer gstreamer-plugins and you're all done

    In most cases just try and play an mp3, and it will try to automatically download the codec. It will usually fail though until you goto system/administration/software sources and click the box for either the software with legal issues or the 3rd party one.. then ubuntu can connect to the necessary repositories
