Hi, I've installed GTA San Andreas on ACER Aspire One on Vista & The game is running very slow even when the advanced options is low or off & the resolution is also at 640x480 - 16bit.

    Please help me.Thanks.

If you really want to play that game, I would recommend for you to install Windows XP instead of Vista!

If your AAO can't handle it, it can't handle it. What can we help you with? You've already tried the lowest settings. If you haven't upgraded your RAM, you can try that. Don't ask how to do it; SEARCH.

    Hello, everyone.

Here's my recipe for San Andreas (almost perfect) on the aspireone:

    -Windows XP
NOTE: If you have installed the XP version that comes with your aspireone, is ESSENTIAL to uninstall Google desktop, Acer Launch Manager, and the icon for the touchpad synaptics.

-Ingame resolution: 800x600 32 bit, 16/9 ON (Better results achieved with nearest desktop resolution. 3dmark2001 gave me the same results in the three possible resolutions, around 2900 points, no matter what color depth)

-Run dxdiag, and set audio acceleration to NONE. This helps tremendously.

-Finally, disable use of pagefile like this http://bloggerdigest.blogspot.com/2006/ ... ndows.html

Mine works like a charm, not perfect, but greatly playable.

    See you.

    Oh, I forgot some details:

    -Graphic settings : LOW
    -Draw Distance: Minimal
    -Mip Mapping: OFF

Even in those settings game looks nice enough, more than playstation2 even.

    See you.
