So what was wrong with the 8th and 9th pins of the wifi connector, that prevented you from using it as a USB signal?

Did you lose the use of the left side USB port when you wired the TS into CN11?

If my left side USB port starts working after pulling the 5v line off CN11, then I would like to have the option of rewiring the TS so that the USB port is useable.

i dont know yet what is wrong, maybe i shorted something there, i will try to clean and rewire these pins again. damn they are so small for me who solders first time ever..)

if i cant mount it back to wifi connector pins, i'll connect it straightly to one of the usb ports losing this port (actually thats not an issue because i can buy usb-hub for ~$10). the question is if i solder D+ and D- to the standard usb, will it use power when laptop is off?

actually i think it shouldn't, cuz my ts is connected to +5v. but anyway what do u guys think?

and if we lose left side usb anyway (waiting for check), maybe its worth to mount it to that usb.

here we go. problems are to be continued. >(

i wired ts to the left usb port, everything seems to be working. but. i dont know why but sometimes suddenly blue screen appears with system error and 0.00000000004-blahblah, then system crashes and starts rebooting. and then it even doesnt boot correctly - crashes everytime after windows boot logo appears.

    1. maybe i messed up pins on pci-e but they dont short
    2. some software issue (im defragmenting the system now)
    3. why im so unlucky with this stuff? ^^

Guys, i want to thank you all!

Im now writing on my new touchscreened acer aspire one ;)

i connected ts to the left usb and closed that usb-port hole with tough white paper. so i have now only 2 usbs.

problem with the blue screen no longer appears, hopefully it wont ever appear.

jerryt, ive installed 5.0.0. drivers instead of 2.0.0., they work perfectly. by the way everytime i tried to calibrate on 2.0.0. drivers my system crashed. maybe problem was in that.

anyway, im free now! thank you guys for everything!

how did you do that? did you test solder stuff there before you used CN11?

Never touched that port. Funny thing is that I used the port while the computer was apart and it was working, but at some point it stopped. I was hoping it was the CN11 connections.

    I am planning to go back in the computer sometime for some more mods;
    Stylus
    USB hub
    TV Tuner
Heatsink mod with holes in case.
    Speaker amplifier?

yeah i really dont want to go back in unless i have a long list of stuff to do too :p

im waiting for someone to come up with a decent speaker mod..i want to do the heatsink thing but with the paste probably. the holes idea is interesting..

with the tv tuner, does that mean that on the plane you can watch freeview channels?

i also want to make a laptop stand/dock out of lego bricks with speakers/usb hub and other crap

No, but I found a amplified flat antenna which is testing great at the moment. (ATSC standard)

The best thing is; the antenna will fit flat on the LCD back cover.

Mixed results so far with TV software...

oh guys you are crazy! :))

hey what does the "stylus" and "usb-hub" mean? i thought these are external stuff that you can just buy, for example, four usb hub, connect it to a usb port externally and use.. no?
stylus.. get a stylus, get a rope, stick it into some hole and use as well... no? :)

I purchased the solderless off of ebay and installed it back in november. This past week it just stopped working. Everything else on the laptop seems to work fine but I can not get any response from the touch screen. Has anyone installed the same type of product off ebay and if so, has anyone had the same type of problem.

ive already thought about such kinda situation. try to check the ribbon cable going from the screen to zif adapter. it might be cracked because you always open and close the monitor and it always moves.

ive noticed that everytime after my laptop is in standby touch screen decalibrates (i touch the screen but mouse taps a bit, maybe 5 mm, higher). in 2-3 minutes ts automaticly calibrates back and everything works. does anyone have the same stuff?
