From what I have read on EEEPC forum it sound like the bezel is applying pressure on the Touch Screen.

hey guys, ive noticed that the plastic protection screen that ive put on the main screen a bit slided down for 1-2 mm. is it possible that the touch screen got off the double tape and started sliding down? or does that plastic protection screen usually slide down after sticking it?

and one more. after i close the monitor every time the touchscreen decalibrates on the bottom of the screen. does anyone of you have similar stuff?

it shouldn't slide down, the screen protector, but i guess it depends which screen protector you have?

for those that do not have a screen protector, do you notice any scratches made by your stylus? I have a screen protector on mine right now, but it has a lot of scratches after using it for a bit.

oh as in when you rotate it portrait vs landscape you mean?

well when i use portrait its fucked, and i cant be bothered to calibrate it, but when i switch back to landscape its fine..

can you have pre-calibrated profiles? so when you rotate it knows which is which?

Is the flat ribbon cable from the TS routed thru the hinge? Could it be pulling on the zif connector?

I routed the flat cable behind the screen and placed the zip connector on the side of the screen, which allowed me to have four normal wires routed thru the hinge, instead of the flat ribbon cable.

yes i routed the flat cable through the hinge. to place zif connector into the monitor is a good idea though, i didnt even think about it. im just sooo lazy now to take apart all the computer again, but i have to because that recalibrating drives me crazy.
    thank you, jerryt!

ok. i took my laptop apart one more time. now i rewired flat cable and zif connector inside the screen and pass the normal wires thru the hinge. but... during the rewiring i DAMN broke the flat cable close to the TS screen (not completely though)! i thought this is the end but i tried to stick it back with a tape and THANKS GOD it works.. sometimes.. is seems to work when im checking the connection with ohm meter and every time i assemble my laptop back it stops working because the wire changes position and disconnects. but when its connected it works perfectly and doesnt decalibrate. right now it doesnt work and i have to deassemble again to repair..
