Hard drive noise

    A few months ago, I purchased an Acer Aspire desktop. It's running Windows Vista. I use a program called Eudora for my e-mail. When I first open my Eudora program, my hard drive makes a "clicking" noise for a few seconds, then the program opens. Would anyone know why it's doing this? Nothing else makes the noise and it doesn't occur otherwise, just on opening Eudora.
