    Hello,
I have recently started to hear how the hard drive reads information, and sometimes it is kind of annoying. I didn't have this problem before. Anyone else has this ? ..or knows what's wrong ? Anyways I didn't drop it that's for sure.
    Regards,
    GvidoR

    I hope that's not the case.. :(
Well.. you can't hear it always, it just comes on every now and then if that makes any difference.
..and I couldn't find any threads about noisy hard drives. I could only find "will my AAO will be noisier with 1.8 drive", "noisy fan", "complete fan control..." and so on...

No, no no. It's not clicking. You know like old IDE drives in old desktops may sound when their in process (reading info from it) it's that kind of noise.

btw, I have A1CTL and the "Prevent HD clicks" option doesn't work for this.

aaaa, it's like spinning hoover :) but bit quieter ;) In that case I think it's normal. One of my HDDs is working in very similar way. It could be the problem with bearings BTW - that's why you can hear this noise...
