    Hi,

I've been struggling for quite a while to get the AcerOne I bought for my wife to work on SA Vodacom 3G.

    PC Details:
    Acer One AOA150 - Ab
    OS: Linpus Linux

I've searched through the posts, but can't get an answer.
I downloaded the Mobile Partner from Acer's www and installed it - had to download, Live Update on the PC not working, get error message "Update list download failed, Do you want to retry?", so can't get it there. The problem is that I don't even get a chance to connect using the Mobile Partner - when connecting the modem to any of the three USB ports, I get a pop-up saying that the device is found, please wait, then next thing a pop-up saying the device is unavailable or disconnected. This process repeats itself.
I know the modem is working fine as I'm using it with XP all the time.

    Any ideas? Please help!

    Rgds

I seem to remember it needs to be plugged in to the USB when you boot?

    Hi,

I got this working with the E220 very easily. Did not have to have it plugged on bootup, just started mobile partner created a profile and connected and worked.
