So I'm working on installing the 30GB toshiba out of my ipod into my 110. The ipod worked just fine when I pulled the drive out.

The issue I'm having is getting the machine to boot once the drive is installed. At first the drive wasn't showing up in BIOS, which I figured out was a connection issue. Resolved this, but while I now here the HD spin up/down...the boot screen never appears.

Anyone have an idea to get me past this so I can load the xp installer and format the drive?

The best thing I can think of is pulling the HDD back out, connect it to the iPod chassis, connect it via USB to a working PC as an external disk, and scan it for errors. Also if you sanded the ZIF connector down, check the connection again; though I doubt this is the problem since it does show in the BIOS. Hope this helps.
