Walmart had cut the price on the XP version down to $289 so I picked one up this weekend. Well the box says 120gb harddrive but when I went to partition the drive so I can install Windows 7 beta its 160gb. I saw online that some places were selling a 160gb version marked as new. Did I get a newer version with old sickers?

Yeah, this started being reported last month. It looks like Acer got a good deal on 160GB drives, and just started shipping them without changing the advertising etc. Consider it a bonus.

After deciding to get a netbook for under $400, I settled on the AAO. The only color they had was white (which I actually better than blue), 3cell (was hopin to find a 6cell) 120GB. My 120 was also a 160. No complaints here.

Just picked one up today at Walmart, same here. It has the 160 gig. I did notice the HD was clicking alot and saw someone posted it with Linux as well. I went into power settings and told it to never turn off the HHD and all is well, no more ticking ..

I just changed over from a EEE PC 900A and I am very happy so far with the Acer. It is kind of a pain to add memory, and you can only add a 1 gig stick so thats a draw back as my EEE used 2 gig.

But as far as speed goes, its much faster and it even looks nicer, I have the Cobalt Blue, and its a very nice dark metallic at that.

When I bought my AAO Best Buy told me the 120GB HD version was part of a test release and the later versions would have a 160GB drive. I haven't compared model numbers or talked to Acer to confirm but it makes some sense considering the delivery of so many 160GB drives in 120GB packaging.
