I have just bought an AO1 531H netbook and would like to protect its contents in the event it is lost or stolen. My old Dell laptop had a very reliable and easy HDD password setup. Before setting the password on my AO1 I googled the subject and have found many cases of people getting locked out of their netbook even though they swear they are using the correct passwords.
I have read that you need to enter your password with the caps lock on, but does this work when the passwords includes numbers?
Can anyone reassure me that setting the HDD password will not brick my AO1?
    Thanks
