    Hi all,

I think I'm about to buy an HDD model Aspire One as I want the extra space and am not worried about the extra mm or two or noise. I assume the battery life isn't too much affected? No more than an extra half hour with the SSD or so?

ANyway my question is does this laptop have any sort of accelerometers or anything that parks the drive's heads when movement is detected like many other machines do these days? To be honest I've never damaged a laptop drive in all my years of computing but still would be nice.

I'm gonna go for the 512Mb (or 1Gb If I can find one), 120Gb, Linux model and install XP myself.

    Cheers,
    Steve
