I've been trying to boot osx from USB and I keep getting boot0: mbr or boot0:error. I've tried 2 4gb USB and 2 external hard drives. I've been using kalyway 10.5.2 and osx86 tools trying all different combos. Any help is appreciated.

try fdisk from an osx command prompt to install an mbr on the disk:

    Code:
    fdisk -u /dev/diskX
where "X" is your disks number (look in Disk Utilitity if you're not sure)
Then install a boot loader via osx86tools if necessary.
