I searched. Frankly, I can't figure out how to do a search on a specific exact phrase like "drive full." Every search using both drive and full or disk and full doesn't seem to return any help. My problem is that the notebook has become totally useless. I kept getting a drive c: is full message. I tried everything I could figure to free up drive space. Finally I got a crash and regular "chkdsk" startup that reported not enough drive on c: drive to write corrections. I wouund up booting from a USB rescue (linux) drive. I pretty much deleted a ton of "found files" directories and was able to get just enough space to be able to reboot. But still have zero free space on the c: drive. What can I remove to be able to use the notebook. It has about a 7.5 gig hard drive and about a 7.5 gig sd/mmc that is now completely empty because I deleted everything that was on it. I tried using it to point documents and temporary directories to it, but there has to be some way to free up space on that c drive. Can anybody help me? I don't recall it being so full when I first got it. There is only one user in the docs & settings. I just want a basic slim install that will allow me to get on Internet. I'd even blow out all Word and/or Works stuff. I just can't believe it has become less useful than my smartphone. Please Help.
