    Hey,

I'm trying to fix my acer aspire one XP. My brother thought it would be a good joke to set up my A1 in French for the initial set up... Now we can't figure out how to re-format in english...

Has anyone had this problem or know how to completely wipe and re-setup the computer?

Use the eRecovery program installed in Start-Programs-Acer to restore the computer back to factory setup. That wipes the harddisk completely, then restores Windows back to initial setup as it was when taken out of the box.

    Hey,

I've tried that. It just reinstalls french. It doesn't give me the option to pick english or french again.

I do think, the best way would be to
    1.ask Acer for Recovery disks
    2. ask your brother to stop doing such a stupid jokes
