Hey, had my AA1 for a while now with no problems at all, even managed to install VLC with no problems. However, for some reason the desktop screen (xfce?) will not load, merely the tool bar at the bottom and the search bar. The screen is white with multicoloured dots all over it, I dunno what is going on! I can run firefox by using the search bar but there are no program icons. I am running the original Linpus which came with the AA1.
Any help to solve this problem would be much appreciated!
    Thanks

I am hoping your xfce profile is corrupt.

You can try booting to recovery mode and :

    Code:
    mv /home/you /home/you.bak
    mkdir /home/you
    chown you.you /home/you
    chmod 770 /home/you
change "you" to your log in name.

    Then reboot.

You can then move your data from /home/you.bak to /home/you.
