I have an Acer Aspire One Netbook running Linux but last night I went into the Bios to change the boot order as I had bought what was supposed to be a Linux Compatible external DVD/CD USB Drive but after doing this the screen went black so I turned the Acer off and tried to boot up again but all I am getting is a black screen I can not get into the Bios menu or the boot menu! :( Any and all advice would be greatfully recieved...
    Many Thanks

    Hello AL4N

Your BIOS has been corrupted, happened to me last week, here is the answer, you will need to "Flash the BIOS" by creating a flashdrive with a new BIOS on it on a working computer and then plug it in to your Aspire One.

    Follow the steps here:

(This hint is probably the most popular on Macles, had 618 replys as of this morning)

The Flashit.exe file is in the new BIOS zip file you download.
