    Hi

I'n trying to download and use Skype. I'm unsure which version of Skype to choose from their website.

I tried Fedora 10+ which seemed to install fine however upon right clicking the desktop and selecting 'Skype' from the list nothing happens! Tried rebooting my netbook too.

I also tried Ubuntu 8.10+ 64-bit however it doesn't seem to 'extract' correctly. I get an error.

TO be honest I have no idea which of the versions to pick. I'm obviously using Linux as my OS.

Any help comes with big thanks.

    Thomas

I've downloaded and unzipped Skype.sh using the link provided and when I run it I get the message

"Do you want to install the update patch? Click OK to continue...."

I've clicked OK but it does not install Skype.

I had a previous installation of Skype (that was installed from skype-2.0.0.72-fc5.i586.rpm) which I removed as it was giving me the error "P2P connect failed"

Can you give me any advice?
