    Hey guys!

Since the HDD does not fit 100% so I’m having trouble stabilizing it.

Currently I’m using a very danger method by using the postage bubble wrapper to stabilize the HDD.

What are more safe and effective ways to stabilize the HDD? Instructions and pictures will be greatly appreciated!

I have upgraded my AA1 by following instructions in this thread:
    viewforum.php?f=43

    Thanks in advance!

    I have 2 different tapes i use.
Personally i use a Automotive 1mm Thick Double Sided Foam Tape.
Absorbs shocks, Wistand Heat, And is Very Stick Even when dry or cold.

I also had a HouseHold M3 which is 1.5mm That i tend to double up when i do 5mm HDD mods for others.
But I stopped using the white one because it seems to loose Stickyness with heat.

    5mm (HDD)+ 2x1.5mm(White Tape)= 8mm and 2-4 mm to spare before touching the Mobo.
    8mm (HDD)+ 2x1mm(Gray tape)=10mm 1-2mm to spare before touching the Mobo.
All depends if you have removed the Middle Knob which i had to do b/c i was using a 8mm HDD

Placement of my sticky pads. Are here. Doubled them up 2mm each pad.

Then i also Wrapped the Buttom half of the HDD with Anti static Bag Parts.

Electrical Tape to prevent any components to short of the HDD metal casing.
That Yellow Tape would work fine also. Mainly to protect this SMT Under the Hump.

Final 1mm Clearance between HDD(8mm) to mobo even with pressure applied onto the mobo.
