help, xfce desktop gone blank, nothing works

    some months ago I read on this forum how to install the xfce desktop on my aspire one with linpus lite.
    I followed all the instractiuons and every thing succeded.
    now the desktop has become black, I can't oper a terminal window, nor I have any icon to click on.
    I think I am going to erase the SSD and reinstall again from the acer dvd.
    Does anyone of you remember which post was the one that explained in 10 steps (if i remember correctly) hoe to install xfce dsktop?
    I can't find it anymore!
