I have the Acer Aspire One 8GB. I decided to install Windows XP over the Linpus. In order to install I deleted then formatted the drives. I must have done something wrong as there was 2 drives (I believe one to be a hidden drive). The install worked okay but I cannot install the available software to working state for the card readers. I then decided to re-install Linpus and found that it failed.Any help would be appreciated.

There are many threads to restore Linpus on the AA1. Can you let this forum know what exactly is not working when you try to reinstall linous. I.e. is it making a recovery USB stick? or are you installing with an USB CD-drive?

    Hello,
I have managed to restore Linpus, but could only do it by borrowing an external dvd drive and doing it by disc rather than memory stick. Is there any tips on the best way to install Windows XP onto this model. When I installed it last time I has to delete the partitions and make a new FAT32 partition. It all installed okay and all the drivers installed except the card reader one. Whenever I inserted a SDHC card it tried to install Base System ... and could not find drivers even on the net. Any advice on what I 'am doing wrong?
    Many thanks
