Home Display Wont' Come On

    I turned on my Aspire One ZG5 this morning (I'd used it last night). I have a unit with the Linux Lite. What I get on the display is an icon at the bottom showing the Home (the house), and an icon which says Power Save, with an icon in the upper left of a battery. On the right side, I have a search for internet and Go. The rest of the screen is blank, and the WiFi light if frozen on. Clicking on the Home icon to bring up the menu does nothing. This is the first time this has happened; the unit is about 2 years old. Control/Alt Delete does not bring up system manager and nothing works.

    Anyone got any ideas? I need this netbook as I'm getting ready to travel to Africa for a 4 month bicycle race and will be needing my netbook for my daily journal.
