My hotplug works only as root, sudo thunar. I can see usb sticks only as root... not anymore as normal user. This happens after i tried a sdhc card. I know now that my aspire a110 with linpus only takes normal sd cards.
    Any solutions...

If you don't mind thunar opening as root, try this:

Run xfce4-autostart-editor from a terminal session.

Using the add button, add the command sudo thunar --daemon with an appropriate name and description.

When you insert a usb key, it will open but I haven't found any way to umount it except from the file manager running as root so it's probably best to keep it open.

Re: Hotplug only as root ?? Solved

I found on this forum the solution:

    Open usr/bin/xfcepost
Add a row before "sleep 10"
Add in the empty row: "killall Thunar"
    Automount works again....

    Thanks, Pieter
