Hotspots & Linux Phones?

    I am switching over to Linux soon and I'm wondering what the outlook is like for mobile hotspots. I assume that Linux phones are going to have this out of the gate because it's so useful, but is there any info I should know about Linux phones and how they differ from traditional phones for this stuff, or will it be pretty much a drop-in type of feel?
