    Hello Members
There is an 'aspire one' splash screen that briefly appears after the 'windows XP' moving bar screen, is there a way to disable the 'aspire one' screen from showing, and have windows load normally?

    regards

Hello MRedu, i think as you've said, thats for when the manufacturer has there own splash screen right at the begining, just when you've turned the computer on during 'Post'.

The 'Aspire one' is after the BIO's has loaded, and after the Windows XP startup screen, so im guessing it's just it's in the registry somewhere.

Does anyone have any idea on how to solve this issue

    regards

So from the lack of posts on this thread, there's no way to stop it, or get rid of it then?
    regards

I guess it didn't occur to you to change it to the winxp boot screen so it appears to go away? Even if you could remove it I don't think windows will boot any faster after it's gone. I think removing it is purely an aesthetic endeavor.

I have a feeling that on a normal Windows XP installation, the space that the Aspire One splash screen occupies as has been suggested, is normally a blank or black screen.

I'm thinking, could it be some instruction written in the 'Sysedit', 'msconfig' or 'boot ini' file?
    regards

Rename or delete Acer.bmp found in C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper to something else. You can edit the image if you want and as long as you name it Acer.bmp, it'll be shown.

My D250 works great doing this :)

Maybe that's because it's such an obvious, easy solution?
