I looked thru the how to guides for help but found them not as detailed as I hoped. Can someone one help me with this?

I managed to download the Thunderbird package from the add/remove software menu and got it to run from the right-click menu but have had no luck getting the shortcut in the connect area of the desktop.

Please help in anyway you can,

    Thanks.
