My computer accidentally shut off while smxi was in the middle of downloading and installing something. When I rebooted I could no longer connect to the internet (either by LAN or wifi).

Is there a way to restore the network without reinstalling the entire OS?

    Thank you!

Have you tried running ceni from the network menu again? this should let you reconfigure your settings

When I run Ceni, I choose the wlan0 hardware interface. I choose SCAN. I scan multiple times with no result.

When I plug into the LAN and choose eth0, I get the same result. No connection.

What else can I do that does not force me to reinstall the whole system?

    :?:

Thank you for the fast response!

Re: How do you recover the network in Sidux.com - SOLVED

I rebooted a couple of times, used Ceni multiple times in multiple ways, and somehow, miraculously, the LAN started working. With that, I reset all the WLAN settings and the wifi turned on again (toggling the Wifi switch) also helped.

Although I tried all these things before, for some reason, this time it worked. I think it worked because I posted on this forum!

Thank you for your help at pointing me in the right direction!
