    Hello :)

I would like to build the latest stable kernel 2.6.26.2. I am having problems with fan that is very noisy :-( :-( , so I would like to build 2.6.26.2 because acer-wmi may give some results about the fan noise. I did read on Acer Laptop ACPI Extras (Announcements):

The upstream port of acer_acpi, acer-wmi, has now been accepted upstream and
is currently in Linus' linux-2.6 git tree.

The first kernel release to include it will be 2.6.25-rc1.

The actual kernel on Ubuntu is 2.6.24-16, so It shouldn't have yet the acer-wmi.

Can someone write one howto and share the .conf file? - thank you.
