Hello :-) I would like to build the [url=http://www.kernel.org/]latest stable kernel 2.6.26.2[/url]. I am having problems with fan that is very noisy :-( :-( , so I would like to build 2.6.26.2 because [url=http://code.google.com/p/aceracpi/]acer-wmi[/url] may give some results about the fan noise. I did read on Acer Laptop ACPI Extras (Announcements): [i]The upstream port of acer_acpi, acer-wmi, has now been accepted upstream and is currently in Linus' linux-2.6 git tree. The first kernel release to include it will be 2.6.25-rc1. [/i] The actual kernel on Ubuntu is 2.6.24-16, so It shouldn't have yet the acer-wmi. Can someone write one howto and share the .conf file? - thank you.
