    Hello,

Would one of you knowledgeable chaps ever be so kind as to tell us newbies how to change from KFCE desktop to Gnome (or point me to a thread where it is discussed)? (I am running Linpus light.)

When I try to download the Gnome desktop with the package manager i get the following message and the download cannot start.
    "notification-daemon-xfce conflicts with notify-daemon"

I take it that since KFCE is running as i work that there will be some clash, so I need to find out also how to disable KFCE and enable Gnome.

Can anyone help me? thanks JOJ

    Hi,
I tried to download gnome to get a better desktop. I have the AA1 150 with Linpus. After loading the file, when the netbook starts up, I have a tool bar at the bottom of the screen but the rest of the screen is black. When I try to open the terminal or right click for the advanced menu, nothing happens. Any help on sorting this much appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Rog
