I would like to edit which programs start on startup, how do I do this? For instance instead of the default mail program, I would like thunderbird to start. Thank you.

How are your present programs autostarting?

If you've got links to them in the folder /Desktop/Autostart in your home directory, just delet those links and add ones to the programs you want.
