    Hello,

I am running Linpus (among other things) on my AAO. I have installed a number of applications and removed some of them later. When I right-click on my desktop to get the menu, under "Other" I have a loooooong list of items. I am wondering how can I clean up this menu? Specifically the "other" menu, but also all the others...

    Thanks for your help.

    Code:

Well, I tried that and for some reason I feel cleaer, but my menus remain the same. ;) What files do I need to edit to change what appears in these menus?

Well it really depends on what other packages you installed.
If you installed wine and then some Windows apps, those desktop files are in ~/.local/share/applications.
If you installed KDE well then those would be/couldbe in a couple of different spots like:
    /usr/share/applications/kde
    /usr/local/share/applications/kde
    /opt/kdeX/share/applications/kde

It really depends on what you installed.

Thanks, that helped some, but the list under the "Other" menu is still huge. Is there some tutorial somewhere that talks about how this menu is built up?
