Hi. New to the forum & the Acer Aspire One.

Picked one up last night and very impressed with the layout and the way it works. One thing that really is bugging me though is the auto click to load & close programs as if you pass over the X for example it closes the program when you might not want to :(.

Is there a way of disabling this function please?

    Thanks, Simon

Hi, not quite sure what you're describing. Do you have linux or windows, and what exactly happens?

Sounds like you have "tap to click" enabled on the touchpad with the sensitivity turned up.

You can adjust the sensitivity or even disable tap to click in the Synaptics control panel in Windows. Not sure about Linux.

It's on Linux. I will have a look at the touchpad sensitivity level tonight incase it is that but it open's & closes programs if you hovver over the icon / X at the moment.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, much appreciated.

You've probably found it yourself by now, but just in case, there's an 'enable tapping' checkbox in the Touchpad section of the Settings menu.
