how to disasemble the face place

    i managed to remove the keyboard and removed all the screws removed the lock to the touch pad and im stuck there....

    i cant pull the face place as it is stuck at the back where the orange ring is...

    anyone can teach how to do it? maybe with screenshots ;) if im not asking too much ;)

    You forgot the screws on the bottom of the rubber feet. only remove those close to the battery not the ones up front. Removing the rubber feet will expose the screws. :p

    is this necessary to change/add the ram???

    the amount of different AA1 ram threads ive found on the web is mind boggling!

    Hehe... yeah, people are pretty RAM-happy these days. Mostly because it's a cheap way to get a nice performance boost. The answer is no, it's not necessary. I do it because on a flash-based device, I prefer to run swapless, so more physical RAM is good.

    Is Aspire One compatible with 1 GB DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM, isn't it?

    SO-DIMM type yes...and is placed in the alternate memory slot on the backside of the mobo.

    is it difficult, does xp really need 2 gbs to run nicely?
