I have just purchased an Acer aspire one on Linux

I would like to download Vuze from the internet, it is in my download folder, but I can't work out how to run it, can anyone help? I've looked at various posts but my very limited knowledge of the computer has got me very confused!

    Many Thanks

Don't have Vuze, and haven't tried it, but fom a quick glance at the website, you can start by opening a terminal window, switching to your Download folder, then typing
    Code:
     tar -jxf Vuze_installer.tar.bz2
Presumably that will uncompress an installer file that you will then execute

Did the tar command not do anything? It may have left you a folder containing the installer program and the files it will install. If it left you a folder, look inside it

No, comand say's it does not exist and it has not created a file for it.

I think that it is not finding th corresponding folder with the download tar in it.

Not on my AA1 right now, but look start looking through the folders in your home directory. Not likely to be anywhere else as you wouldn't have write permission
