how to erase recovery from my usb

    hi there,, 2 months ago i made the recovery usb and i used my 2gb pendrive,,

    but now i need the pendrive,, and i found out that i can't put anything inside my pendrive because of the recovery stuff in there,, how do i reformat my pendrive to erase those recovery stuffs in there? besides,, i can always make a new recovery usb from scratch cause i still have the dvd from my AA1,, :)

    I had the same problem, The reason is that the USB is formatted now as ext2, so windows won't read it anymore.

    You can try to format it now from linux in a FAT format, or you can try to use Gparted o GTparted to delete the partitions completely. The in windows format it as FAT.

    oh is that so,, hmmm can you please explain to me how i can format my usb in linux,, im using my AA1 with linux right now,, cause i dont have my desktop with windows right now,, thx,,

    I suggest you to install Gparted + Fat libraries.

    The run gparted, this will allow you to format it with Fat or Fat 32.

    Then windows will be able to read it.

    how come it only allows me 3 formats choices ext2,ext3 & linux-swap. im not familiar with linux
