Yes - the above post will enable two finger scrolling to work for the aspire one. I did that to mine a couple weeks ago.

Here's how to do it: Follow all of the instructions ranova gives at the following url:
    http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=88811

NOTE: After step four, your trackpad may become a bit shakey so having an external mouse will make finishing the remaining steps much easier. I did it without an external mouse but it requires just a bit of patience to operate that "caffinated mouse"!

Once you get to step 6 it should be controllable. But don't forget to do step 9 or your mouse will act up again after you restart.

Note: Make sure you have this command written down or saved somewhere:

    "sudo killall -9 FFScrollDaemon
    sudo /usr/local/bin/FFScrollDaemon"

If you update certain kexts your mouse might get shakey again and you will need to re-enter those commands in the console & reboot to fix it again.

    It works pretty good!

With my current settings its not a two finger scrolling but rather:

    finger tip = normal mouse
pad of finger flat = scrolling

Here's my current FFscroll Settings (pretty much default):

Vertical Scrolling Sensitivity and Speed settings: low
    Samples to log: 8
    Sample Threshold:60
    Sample Decline Threshold:10

If anyone comes up with some good settings for FFscroll for the Aspire One please post them.

this doesn;t seem to work in 10.5.6
i can use my trackpad normally. FFScroll appears in system preferences, but i still cant get it scroll.
One interesting thing is that i have no trackpad option in the regular keyboard/mouse preferences

It did not work for me with the iAtkos 5i (10.5.5) install. I went through the steps and the "fix" and "authenticate" messages did appear and I did set the settings to the way you did, but it still doesn't seem to have any effect.

Same problems... I should have listened to the other guys above me!

Installed everything according to instructions, but missing Trackpad Pref Pane, and no 2 finger scroll or tap click.

    A warning to others!

Seems like some it could work for some, but for a few of us here are having a few issues...

Does anyone know how to undo all these steps properly?

Thanks for that link! After reading there, and installing/re=installing a few different things, I've gotten scrolling to work, and my trackpad back!

    :)

However, its still a bit iffy... does anyone have a good plist config for the One using FFScroll? I ask because I don't want single finger scrolling, only 2 finger, and I don't want to have to press to hard to get it to activate... I also wish I had tap and drag!

I've also heard reports of the One's touchpad being 'multi-touch' under Windows 7... I don't suppose we'll ever see this though...
