How to install new version of Linpus Lite

    My AA1 still has linpus lite version 1.0.5 and Fedora 8. Live Update has never listed a newer version of either. Is there a newer version of Linpus Lite and/or Fedora and how can I get them?

    Fedora is on 13, with 14 almost to the beta stage. I'm running the development version of Fedora 14 on my AOA-150. No complaints. If your Aspire One has an SSD, you'll have to wipe it to install a recent Fedora (or any other Linux distro), so make sure you back up your important files if you choose to go this route.

    If you're not real comfortable with Linux but want to move up to a modern distro, you might want to look at Ubuntu Netbook Remix. Be sure to check out the Ubuntu section before you take the plunge. Ubuntu 10.04 is current; 10.10 is scheduled for release next month.
