How to install Wine on Acer Aspire One?

    Can anyone help with this? New to Linux and find Wine HQ a bit confusing. Which distribution should i use for example.

    If you want the *newest* version, you will need to compile it yourself. That is slightly harder than just installing the version in the fedora 8 repository (which is what you do if you run the "sudo yum install wine" command) - but if you want a walkthrough can be written. Or may even already be present here on these very forums :)

    You know. After asking question about installing wine idea of compiling source code is a bit ruthless. Don't you think?? :D

    Nah. Best way to teach a child to swim is to throw it in the water ;)

    I guarantee you will.. :) But at the beginning I believe much better for you will be to use already compiled package... Have fun then!
