how to play videos off my acer

    hi ive got an acer aspire 1 (AOA 110-Ab) with 1.5g of ram and 8g hd running windows xp! im having problems playing video's off SD cards.
    i put them off my main pc onto SD cards using a usb adapter! i use the same codac pack as my main pc cc.cp.
    i have tried using 2 different types of SD cards and no luck with either of them! where am i goin wrong any sugestion would be great
    ie whats the best way to watch video's off my acer
