    Hello.

Does there anybody know how i can run Civilisation 4 on my acer one?
The Game doesn't start with the error message it needs 1024x768. I can set this resolution with the Acer one Control Tool (a1ctrl) where not everything fits in the screen but 1024x768 pixels are shown, but the error still appears.

Is there a tool where i can push the 1024x768 resolution in the 1024x600 screen which the game accepts?

    Go into the config.ini file.

    set fullscreen = 0

I think it will work at that point.

If it doesn't set resolution to 1310x768 (you find line about horizontal and vertical resolution).

If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll read my config file, rather than going off memory.

    Hi Bobo,

I really feel dumb but I tried your fix and can't find a "config.ini" file to modify. I know I have made changes to the config before but not with XP. Can you help me? I really want to run Civ IV.

Here is the note I have on making Civ 4 work the best on a netbook with windows 7:

Civilization 4 Complete Edition (no copy protection!):

Pin to Windows 7 Start Menu

Edit the Start menu icon's properties to Maximized windows

    Edit the .ini's values (for each version of the game): BinkInterlace = 1, BinkNoSkip = 0, NoIntroMovie = 1, FullScreen = 0, SetMaxFrameRate = 10, ScreenHeight = 768, ScreenWidth = 1310

Options > click Restore defaults on each tab

Options > Graphics: Graphics level - Low, uncheck Single unit graphics, check Show health bars, check Detailed city info, check Animations frozen, check Effects disabled, uncheck Globe View Buildings Disabled, uncheck Full-screen mode, check Low res textures, check Show city radius
