How to save movies/dvds to sd/flash card?

Son will use acer just to play computer/internet games, and to watch dvds. I don't want to add an external dvd, so how do I save a dvd movie or comp.game onto a memory card/flash drive? I tried to save a dvd onto my desktop computer, to then save onto the mem.card, but couldn't. Something about missing something, so desktop couldn't play the dvd. Any way to transfer dvds directly to a mem.card, w/o saving it to harddrive first? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

 

Get a program to convert DVD to avi file, then it is smaller and copy to SD card or USB. Use VLC player to play it on One.

For playing games you should make an image from the game cd (iso or bin) using: http://www.imgburn.com/
Then load this image using virutal drive software: http://www.daemon-tools.cc
