Thanks for the link. It wouldn't take me to the right download so found it manually. I now have Itunes 7 via platonlinux and via others on the main desktop menu however neither of them will open..... I am starting to lose my patience, any idea's as to what I'm not doing right..!

I've tried very hard to follow this tutorial, and all the replies and different methods suggested. I've come to the conclusion that this is not for me - nothing works, I've got "Play on Linux" installed, don't understand what "go to Desktop, under Root type...." means, because where do I find "Root"? I have in my Downloads something called "playonlinux - 3.3.1 -fedora0.noarch" and when I double-click on that all sorts of applications are shown, but that's it. I also have "rpm.gpg", and also "playonlinux -3.3.1 - fedora0.noarch.rpm" When I try to extract the files from that I get the error message "An error occurred while accessing the archive" , the command line output on that basically says that "mv will not overwrite just created"......with various files listed.

I just think that this is too complicated for me. I don't seem to understand the basic commands, and am feeling very foolish. I am now going on holiday for a week and will forget the whole thing until I come back! I take issue with the title of this thread: "Easy install of games and softwares..."!

Same here...I finally was able to install iTunes7, but either shortcuts (in advanced menu and desktop) work. What did I do wrong?

PlayOnLinix opens fine, but absolutely nothing happens when I click iTunes from POL or iTunes shortcut from advanced menu. No error message, either.

OK, I followed the tutorial and installed PlayOnLinux then installed iTunes 7. Now if I right-click the back ground and open advanced menu, there is a short cut to iTunes 7 under "Others". However, nothing happens when I click that shortcut.

Also I can access to PlayOnLunux in advanced menu under "Games." When I open that, there is an icon (looks like eye balls) that says iTunes 7. When I highlight that and click "run", nothing happens.
